Revisiting Goals for the Month (a few days early)

Did I accomplish my goals for the month? Let's take a look (I'm starting early, because we're heading out of town for the next week, to visit my sister and her family in our hometown of Dyersville, Iowa).

Let's get started, shall we?
  1. Finish revising The All Nations Team.Did it! (Well, I have to do one more run-through, but that's IT.)

  2. Query a handful of agents about that novel (and the two others I've written that I think are publishable: The Wannoshay Cycle and Heart's Revenge. Ummm... I did query 5-6 agents, but not for those two books, as they're both still sitting on different editors' desks, in their entirety. Fingers crossed (but not TOO strenuously).

  3. Read two more Tim Powers novel (just finished his first, The Skies Discrowned, which was fun, light stuff, and I'm on to his next two, chronologically).Didn't get to these! I did read Nick Mamatas' Move Under Ground, which was pretty good.

  4. Finish reading Campbell's The Hero with a Thousand Faces, while taking copious notes.Did it! Well, I skimmed.

  5. Using some of those notes, outline my next novel, Sixteen Miles From Everywhere.Did it!

  6. Write two more chapters on my novel blog.Well, I wrote one more chapter, then ran out of steam. I'll get back to this one, maybe in a few months...

  7. Read more short fiction, especially all the free stuff at the quality online sites.Ummm... failed miserably.

  8. Goof off less.Working on that one!

  9. Make fewer To-Do lists...Hell yes! At least To-Do lists that I'll share here to bore people silly.
