On page 50! Finally!

We're off to the candlelight vigil soon, but I have just enough time to squeak out a quick entry. At last, after WAY too long messing around and getting sidetracked, I'm back on the Sixteen Miles novel! Woo-hoo!

I must say, getting some helpful feedback on this novel really helped get me focused again, so big thanks to all my readers (Shawn, Kathy, Michael, and Mom!). I think I've gotten everything fixed up in the first three chapters now, and I'm ready to move on into new territory. Sweet.

And, just for kicks, here's a quickie excerpt:

I closed my eyes and inhaled Noah's scent, sending out a silent plea to the universe to protect my too-curious, too-intrepid young boy.

"I don't know, Ray." I opened my eyes and saw, about fifteen feet deep inside the forest, the half-man's face, in profile. He was waiting for us, inside.

Then I blinked and, like always, the man disappeared.

And that's all the time I have for today. Later, y'all.
