Getting caught up and dining out...

First of all, I wanted to share a link for a pretty cool idea for helping out hurricane victims. Tomorrow (Wednesday)is "Dine for America" day, a fundraiser organized by the Red Cross. All you gotta do is pack yourself up and get to a participating restaurant, and some if not ALL of the profits from Wednesday's eatin' will be donated to the Red Cross. Everyone wins!

You can do a search by state and city to find restaurants involved in this fine cause -- I recommend places that are donating 100% of the profits. Very cool! Looks like we'll be heading down to the ol' Macaroni Grill tonight... Or maybe the Outback Steakhouse... (most of the 100% places seem to be the big chains, unfortunately).

How easy is that? You go out to eat, and the Red Cross makes money to help out people who need it. Tell a friend, okay?

In writing news, I spent this morning reacquainting myself with the two previous writing projects I'd had to put on hold while revising the paranormal romance novel. I started messing with the "Sixteen Miles" novel, but I don't feel quite like diving back into that one yet -- think I need to reread the previous three chapters to get my brain back on track with that one.

So I moved to my "Dead Man's Rope" thing. It's not a novel, not a story, probably a novella, but right now it's mostly just a thing. I kind of like it that way -- it could be anything... Anyway, I revised the last couple of sections of that project, and I'm finding myself curious about how that thing's gonna end. Guess I'll have to write it to find out, eh?

And, more percolating is being done on my SF novel idea from way back, the one that involved spaceships. I think that's gonna be my next novel, for next year. We shall see. Later!
