Yesterday's mail brought a nice little fifty-dollar check from a Russian magazine. At some point, Esli will be reprinting my story "Working the Game," but the damned thing is, I'll never know if and when they reprint it! Maybe they'll let me know, since I don't speak-a the language.

I've been running various titles from their archive page through the translation widget on my iMac, but it's making me crazy. If only I spoke Mother Russian! I think I'll have some wodka now...

I'm trying VERY hard not to order a pile of books from the Night Shade Books sale -- everything's half off. Someone stop me...

UPDATE: Well, the Heels lost, but played a great game (well, except for all the turnovers). And I got an email from Dmitry at Esli, and he said I'd get a copy of the magazine with my story in it as soon as it's released. I like this getting paid before publication stuff!
