And another thing...

The other thing I had to finalize all the details on was a very cool novel workshop that I'll be going to in May -- it's the Blue Heaven novel workshop run by Charles Coleman Finlay, and I lucked out by getting to go, big time. One of the other writers couldn't make it, so I checked with him to see if they needed anyone else. It worked out, luckily.

I've heard great things about this workshop, and some published novels (and soon-to-be-published novels) have already come out of this relatively new workshop.

So for a week in May, I get to hang out on an island in Ohio with some fine writers (including fellow writing pals I already know like Greg and Tim and Toby, and other writers I know via journals, like SarahP and Sandra, and some other great folks I'm looking forward to meeting).

We'll be discussing my novel, Sixteen Miles from Everywhere, along with 11 others. The plan is to be done with a draft of the book by the end of March.

Of course, after all my great wordage this past week, today was the first day I just didn't have time to sit and write a thing. Argh. But we got a lot of other stuff done, so I'm not complaining. We do move to a new house in less than two WEEKS! Later.
