A true Drew story: Last Friday, at his 18-month checkup with the doctor, Drew was lying on his back as the doctor poked and prodded his belly as part of the exam. He started laughing and said "It tickles!" The doctor looked at Elizabeth and was like, "Did he just say what I thought he said?" And Elizabeth nodded.

The kid has the best sense of humor. And great timing!

So he's now up to 29 pounds and 35 inches (or 2'11"), and today's his 18-month birthday! Amazing. He just keeps growing and learning and making us laugh. It's hard to beleive I ever entertained the thought of not having kids. Surely I was deluding myself.

I didn't get a chance to snap a photo of him today, so here's two relatively recent photos of the young man, from the beach:
