Paper Rock Scissors

Okay, I lied earlier. In the game of Which Novel to Work on Next, Sixteen Miles came up rock, and The All Nations Team has come up paper. Paper covers rock, so I'll be working on revising the baseball novel now. (Thanks for the tip, Kathy!)

And I can't wait. Actually, I already started the tweaking today. I've been thinking about this novel more than the Sixteen Miles one in the past few weeks, but for whatever reason -- I don't know, insanity? -- I felt like I should do the 16 Miles one first. Probably because I had some great feedback on it from fellow writers.

But the baseball novel kept calling out to me, and really, it contains the least amount of backbreaking labor. I just have to find the heart of that novel, which is my protagonist, the grizzled old coach (whose picture is over there on the left, wearing the ANT jersey). This is his book, and it's time for me to make it that way.

It all seems so simple, now.

I also got some great feedback on an older story (thanks, Kathy, again!), so I'll be fixing that up as well. And hey, last night I think I figured out what to do with that other story I'd started last week.

All I have to do is drag my ass out of bed in the morning and write again. You'd think that'd be easy, but I'm old now. Later!
