The reading in Dyersville...

... was a blast! I got a bit nervous beforehand, and changed what I was going to read a couple times, but it all fell into place nicely. It helped having a ton of relatives in the crowd, as well as friends and other good peeps in the crowd. I read a snippet of the romance novel, answered a ton of really good questions, and even got to plug my web site (thanks, Uncle Tony!).

So if you were at the reading and ventured over to this journal, please drop me a comment in the comments section. Thanks to everyone for setting it up and coming to it! I felt like a rock star, truly.

And meeting SarahP and her awesome little guy Theo was great -- Drew loved sitting next to Theo at dinner and chatting with him while SarahP and I talked shop with each other and Elizabeth. It was a great literary evening, and I'm glad it's over!

Now I'm really inspired to finish up the baseball novel -- I chatted about that a bit with the crowd, and folks seemed interested in it, which of course motivates me to work harder. Maybe next year we can do another reading, for another book... Later!
