Slog, with cheese

Argh. This morning was a slog through chapter nine, in more ways than one. Just couldn't seem to get started -- I guess the day job is creeping up on me, as I'm juggling a ton of different tasks with testing and docs and more new things every day. I just don't feel up to sitting in front of a computer in my off time.

Maybe I need to get one of those tablet laptops so I can sit in bed and write by hand, old-school style. I wonder how well those work...

Anyhoo, I had to share this lovely little typo (now fixed!) from this morning's slow slog:
I couldn't sit still any more, thanks to my chiggers. I inched across the dirt floor away from Ray and tried to kick off my boots on the way, but they simply fell apart, both soles breaking in half like soft cheddar. Just grate.
Okay, so it made me smile.

Maybe I'll take a day off after our software is released and just work on the novel rewrites. That'd be nice! Later...
