Saturday sleeplessness

One of these days I'll get my sleep patterns straightened out. After a crazy-busy week at the ol' day job, I was worn out -- I love the job, but some days, all the multi-tasking makes my brain hurt. And it's hard to stop juggling, once you get all the various balls in the air.

So my head was still spinning by the time I get home (one of the few good things about commuting is that it lets you wind down from work so you don't have to think about it once you arrive at the homestead). I ended up going to bed about 8:30, not too long after Drew went down for the night. I guess all those mornings of getting up at 4:30 a.m. are catching up to me...

And today the dog wanted out at 3 a.m., so I got up to let him out and just stayed up. As it turns out, I got a nice bit of writing done, finishing up that new chapter I've been working on all week (yes, progress has been SLOW this week), and getting some other good work done.

And now, while Drew finishes up breakfast, with "Clifford" on TV, I'm trying to get my 2nd wind for the day -- it's just Drew and me until Lizzie gets home from work. I think we're going to run around in the back yard, then head out to Playspace downtown. Now that all our snow is gone (it lasted, oh, about 1/2 a day), we've got to come up with alternate plans! Later...
