Walking on the mess...

I read somewhere that multi-tasking isn't good for your brain. I need to remember that. Unfortunately, my life is all about multi-tasking.

I'm sitting here in Drew's playroom on my work laptop, just finishing up some odds and ends for a doc for work. Drew just got done putting some puzzles together and taking them apart (we're off to his preschool in about 10 minutes) and playing with his trains and train whistles. I also just tweaked the ending to another chapter in the novel, leaving me with only THREE chapters left before this sucker's done. I'm also composing an email (in my head) to my buddy Lee about writing and kids and stuff.

Must stop multi-tasking!

Unfortunately, my day job is all about multi-tasking, as we're a small startup, so I get to not only do my regular documentation stuff (which is not an insignificant amount of work), but also software testing, a little debugging, some marketing work, web development, and some training and customer support as well. It's fun work, challenging, and never slow. Can't complain, really (okay, it does leave me a bit brain-fried by the end of the day, but hey, it's better than watching the clock, right?).

Okay, Drew has pulled all his books out now, and saying "I'm walking on the mess! I'm walking on the mess!" So I guess it's time to get going... Later!
