Finishing up...!

After a very busy day yesterday (visiting friends and family while Dad was stuck at home working) for the young Mister Drew, he's upstairs napping away, and with two cups of coffee in my system, I'm working like crazy to finish up my novel.

Down to the last new scene, which is turning out to be a lot of fun (I'm so glad I went from having just two point-of-view characters -- the lost son and the searching father -- to a total of three, adding the searching mother as well. Big big thanks to Greg and Oz for their suggestions on that point). It's a conversation between the mom and a dragon in the strange dream-world I called the Undercity. Mom is currently getting the best of the dragon. Here's hoping the scene ends well for her!

And I'm down to about the last 15 pages or so. At last!

Hope I can finish up in time to watch the Tar Heels take on NC State in hoops (my one weakness is watching UNC men's basketball. Well, that and chocolate chip cookies). Less than an hour to go! Later...

UPDATE: Okay, it's drafted! Rough as hell, and needs some more tweaking, but it's there, and I even had some nifty surprises turn up. Always fun. More later, maybe at halftime... :)
