Interesting article about teachers turning away from red pens because they typically represent negative feedback:

Is this something you would/would've appreciated as a student? My main memory of a red pen came when I was doing some technical writing. A developer who reviewed my document wrote only one thing, a number of times (whenever he thought he found an error), in capital letters, and, of course, in red ink: NO!!!! (always with four explanation points and no further elaboration). Very helpful.

Any favorite red pen stories? Or teacher feedback stories? etc.?
