On days like today, I want to be able to cut through the complexity of the world to some kind of simplicity. I want to have a simple equation -- if I do this, then good will result and everyone, including me, will feel happy, will feel they belong, will have enough.

Short of outright denial, what do you do with the blues? If I was more musically talented, I'd definitely want to play them, and maybe that's a path of transcendence, to play the very thing that I'd choose to ignore if I could.
