So some crazy fellow blogger named DICKie noted that a true Notre Dame fan would've created a blog with blue and gold colors. How true, my friend, how true. But a true ND fan would never settle for the lame maize-like yellow provided by this blogging service. Only gold would do.

So for this ND-Michigan weekend, this blog will reject all things blue and display the glorious green of the Irish. I'll be toting at least one Medill friend along to the Michigan game this weekend - something I shall never do with DICKie again, because, as he proved at the BC game last year, he is the jix of all jinxes.

To those friends of mine attending the game this weekend, I look forward to seeing you and cheering on Charlie and his Irish. To those friends of mine not attending, well, you'll be in my blue-and-gold-bleeding heart.

(And Scotty, as tempted as I am, I will not put a wager on this game as I did with Nery for Pitt. It is of much higher importance and I wouldn't want to DICKie it up. And by that, I meant jinx.)
