2004-05-16 6:53 PM sweet fancy moses Previous Entry :: Next Entry Read/Post Comments (16) I saw a few interesting films this week and one really awful one. "Lost in La Mancha" was fantastic, and god bless terry gilliam. If you ever want to see how making a film can go as absolutely wrong as possible, this will show you in painful detail. I finally saw "Westworld" on the recommendation of a friend, and that was quite a classic weird movie that was creepy as hell. Lastly, "Deconstructing Harry" ruled! Tying up the loose ends of Woody Allen movies I haven't seen. Now for the ugly: "Morvern Callar", a small Irish (I think) picture that nearly bored me to tears. The look of it was really lovely, in terms of color and visuals, but the story was a snoozer. Usually I really enjoy snoozers, but alas, this one blew. Relaxed today by hitting some balls at the driving range and going to Kirby Park to take some pics. They had 4000 flags there to represent the 9/11 victims and the all the service people from PA who have died in the war. I'm going to try to post one of my pics here, but I'm not sure if it will work. Its cheesy in that political heartstring tug way, but sometimes thats what shows up in front of you. Here's to everyone getting home safe.
