today i signed up for what i'm sure will be a weird one. poppy belongs to the lions, as most of you know, and they are have one of those 'night at the races' fund raisers. we all bought horses to race and had to name them. mommy pajama's is 'future glue', poppy's is 'meat canyon', and mine is 'auntie's wooden leg'. apparantly they supply alcohol and hot dogs at this event and its april 2, so happy birthday to me!

i just finished reading 'v for vendetta' (the collection of the comic books) and then read that its being made into a movie as we speak with the lovely natalie portman. i just started to read something called 'suicide blonde', but so far it sucks amazingly (poor writing, self indulgent, precocious) and a book about hitler and the spear of destiny, which i know nothing about, so thats very interesting.

i know i mentioned it before, but i must say again:

IF YOU HAVEN'T SEEN 'SHAUN OF THE DEAD', DO SO!!!!

it's the cinematic equivalent of being licked all over by rottweilers (sweet and funny, but creepy nonetheless)

also, i'm going to try to make a lamp this weekend, so i'll let you know how that goes. damn you 'ready made' magazine!
