got a few books from the library today. whats new, eh? got demille's the lion, some baldacci story, and one by justin cronin. according to steven king, cronin's newest book is 'posta be the scariest thing ever written. I couldnt get the new book but I have another called the passage. from the blurb, it looks like a The Stand-ish doomsday thing. Ill let ya's know.

started demille's the gold coast. lost it after about 150 pages. was interesting to a point, but then was just page after page of waiting for something/anything to happen. Ill prolly finish it soon {its a long fucker, exactly 500 pages], but not while I got five or six books Im dying to read.

checked out some lee child stuff. not real bad, but Im really not 100% into the jack reacher character yet, so it was a semi-hard-to-read book. maybe jack will grow on me; I got one other book here. the one I read is the newest [61 hours], Ill check the older stuff--maybe get a bit of his history. might make it all better...

happy 4th'a july to ya all. careful ya dont blow yer finger[s] off with a mini-bomb.

me, Im gonna do what I always do tomorrow--read the sunday paper, nap, read, and bitch about monday's roof. ...I got a 2 dollar raise last week [I said wow...the boss said Im a good roofer...I said wow again], and still I bitch. would bitch if they hung me with a new rope, eh?

got an armoire [thanks spellcheck for the correct spelling] today. nice piece of furniture, too. cherry, not a scratch on it. my mom didnt want it anymore. I truthfully dont have room for it, but Ill make room.

oh, this, I think, is funny. a guy said he was good in math. he said he wasnt early in life, but when he--as a child--saw the dude nailed to a plus sign, he figgered math must be serious. hehehehe
