Okay, so the last couple of days at work have been pretty noisome (look it up) and it's getting to the point where I'm sniping at everyone, 'cause everyone's pissing me off.

Seriously.

If we had the amount of (wo)man power necessary to adequately perform our tasks, it wouldn't be so onerous, but we don't, and so anyone who does anything to make my work harder gets a smackdown, 'cause they're just adding to the frustration like gunk sticking to the snot in your nostril until your whole nose is clogged and you can't breathe.

How's that for imagery?

I was at work till 7:30 tonight, when I'm supposed to get out at 6. Now that may not be that big a deal, but I spent all day long doing data entry (having to smackdown a bunch of people who sent me erroneous info or didn't bother to check it over first), tracking down slackers (high on my list of "Un-fun Things I Do Well"), and hyping the thrill of overtime so the floor would be adequately covered the rest of this week.

The floor.

Not the Command Center. 'Cause what fun would that be, if we didn't get as burnt out as everyone else? The folks in charge (who are pleased that the work gets done and sanguine about how long it takes us, watching from their comfy chairs back in PA) have been dragging their feet about allowing us extra help, and it's just about at the breaking point where we can't get it all done, even if we all work an extra shift or two a week.

Anyway, I'm just grumpy and thought I'd share. Go on about your business; nothing to see here. Move along.
