We're havin' a heat wave . . .

. . . a desert-borne heat wave.

So please forgive me if I'm silent, sitting here, as I am, in a puddle of my own sweat. Though today it's only supposed to hit 90F, a darn sight better than yesterday's 100 and something. Almost makes me wish for rain.

Weather like this reminds me of New England, actually. There, mid to high 90s and early 100s are regular occurances, with humidity around 98% so you feel like you're breathing water. But this is Western Oregon, damn it, and it's not supposed to get this hot. At least not in June.

See you again, when it cools off a bit.
