It's a cool, cloudy Friday morning. Absenteeism is surprisingly low, which makes everyone's job a little easier, and the students able to get to school on time.

All the office talk is about the debate last night. Just about everyone actually watched the debate itself, not just the spin commentaries afterward. This is a much higher level of political participation than I anticipated--it seems that people are much more involved this election year than in previous ones. Maybe people are realizing how much is at stake.

I got the Voter Information Guide in the mail last night. It's massive; 165 pages. I'd better start now or I'll not have time to peruse it all. I refuse to vote on something I haven't researched and the Voter Information Guide is where I start.
