It's not the heat, it's the humility

It is so humid in my neck of the woods that the air conditioner at work, in its effort to dry the air as well as cool it, poured the water from it drip tray all over the roof, which leaks, and our office had an indoor rainstorm, obviating one of the purposes of the air conditioning in the first place.

It's a relatively new building--less than 10 years old--and it has been plagued by the end results of shoddy construction and inept design right from the start. But today's tropical indoor rainstorm took the cake.

I really don't want to be there when (and if) we ever have a heavy rainstorm or (God forbid) a serious earthquake. The whole building shakes when a semi tractor/trailer (aka lorry) rolls by; can you imagine what a 6.5 earthquake would do?

Enough complaining. I had a good day; got every item on my "to do" list completed, with 5 minutes to spare at the end of the day. Tomorrow is scheduled with back-to-back meetings and you know how much I look forward to them!

Not.
