Last time I went to my doctor, I bemoaned the fact I had lost only a couple of pounds in the intervening 3 months (50 pounds total now!). He suggested more exercise (ok, walking) and that I try fasting every so often.

Today I'm home from work and said, "Self, why don't you give it a try?" It's just a little after 5 p.m. here, and so far so good.

I guess. I'm light-headed and wobbly, a bit, but nothing too drastic. I've been drinking water and obsessing about food. Or, in this case, not-food.

Meanwhile, hubby is still sticking to his diet. I am so proud of him! He's sugar-addicted, and I know it's hard, but he is giving it a go.

Cats, of course, are gobbling greedily and think us fools, I'm sure.
