I was looking forward to a normal week, to being able to settle back into a regular schedule.

When I called home to check on how he was doing, he said not so good--weak again--he couldn't get out of his chair to get some water to take his morning meds.

Excrement.

I asked if he needed me to come home, but he said no. I'll call in another hour or so and see if he has been able to get out of bed or out of his chair and get some water.

I have the feeling the iron supplements are not sufficient and his hemoglobin is dropping again.

Damn!
