Twenty Ten (2010)

A new decade: beautiful weather, the day to pay bills, write letters to old friends and straighten up my reading chair and side table stack of books.

It feels like a time to follow through on projects started, finish up with stuff in the works.

In a couple of weeks I'll look at starting new things, but for now it's time to finish up and clean up.

One thing I always do the first week of the year is set up my household accounts ledger for the coming six months, so that will be another item for the day's list.

And a delightful task awaits me: choose a new book to read. Maybe I should just close my eyes and point.

The only think lacking is a dog for company. One with eyebrows that go up and down as I talk to her. One whose tail swishes in joy at every new (or old) thing. I would buy him balls and chew toys and play with him until we were both tired and happy.

Sigh.
