With a high today of 58 degrees and a low last night and anticipated again tonight for 38 degrees, it feels like winter is making a second visit.

It's Denim Day today and everyone is wearing jeans--and sweaters and jackets.

My poor tomatoes were shivering in the cold this morning when I went out to say hello to Max, the garage cat. He has very bad manners indoors (sprays) so he was banished long ago to the garage and back yard.

He's OK with that; he gets visited regularly, fed like a king, and attended to with ear skritches and back rubs. He's very talkative, so we carry on long conversations while I tend to the tomatoes (their communication skills are pretty limited).

I hope the cold doesn't damage them permanently.

Project, unfinished, was emailed to my boss today. He called, perturbed, and I cheerily said that I'd be happy next time to complete any project if he wanted to authorize the overtime.

Silence.

Still working on the report, fine tuning the data, and I'll see what he wants me to do after his meeting with the head honchos today. Of course, they don't know how to ask--and getting good information is all in framing the request correctly.

Freedom's just another word for nothing left to lose,
Nothing ain't worth nothing but it's free."
