My housemate spent the last week at a family reunion in Oregon. When she returned, she brought her special needs 11-year-old grand nephew with her. She did ask before she brought him, and I did say yes, so I suppose it's not fair that I'm having second thoughts. (After a mocha frappuchino on the way home, I'm coping with company quite well, I think).

Oh, well, it's only for a week. We are quite clear about that deadline. Next week my boss is on vacation, I'm in charge of the whole operation, and I already said up front that I was not accepting house guests of any sort for that week. She agreed, and I think she'll keep her word.

That said, I'm ready after a long day (with lots of OT), to read a little, relax a little, and turn in early. Our office tech, Anita, helped me input the data I've been working on and I'm very grateful. Teamwork sure makes a difference. She's one of the few people whose attention to detail would match the need of the project. And she said it was fun! Can you imagine that?

Fun. Yes, I can see where it might be, if you're sitting around with nothing to do, as she was. She was reading a book and waiting for the phone to ring (which it wasn't). And I really appreciated the help. I'm fairly sure I'll make the deadline now, unless disaster strikes. Again.

Nice evening @ home. *yawn*
