How do you tell a good girl from a bad girl?
The good little girl says: Good morning, God!
The bad little girl says: Good God, morning?

We went to see Wagner's "The Flying Dutchman" last night. Dan Gent will be happy to know that even a professional horn player can flub an initial note....

The staging was dramatic, keeping your attention the whole time. Remember that this is an early Wagner opera (the first one that was successful for him), so the long-drawn-out arias and recitatives were at a minimum, and the action moved along nicely. No intermissions, smooth scene adjustments via screens and curtains.

I know they like to pack in as many people, but honestly, do they have to make the seat space so minimal? I'm only 5'2" and I was uncomfortable. Imagine what a tall lanky man must endure, all elbows and knees.

I haven't had enough sleep, so I'm probably going to take a nice nap today. The best thing is to wake up on the regular schedule, make it through the day, then go to bed at the usual time the next night. Trying to sleep in to make up for the deficit just doesn't work.

(yawn) So I think I'll put a pot of chicken soup on to cook (chicken, herbs, onion, garlic, veggies, quinoa) and then do Einekleine (a little) Housework.

Music hath charms to soothe the savage beast breast.
