That's right, it's been six months since the nastiness that changed Heyelsa into Scout. Nary a peep from the Stalker; how polite of it to have kept its word and left me alone.

Worried you might be a stalker? Maybe you are a lurker; there is a difference. A lurker quietly checks the blog on a regular basis. He/she/it may comment occasionally, or lift a meme here or there, but for the most part is unobtrusive. A lurker reserves judgment, at least publicly.

A stalker, on the other hand, goes out of his/her/its way to track down all Internet references to a person, and may jump to erroneous conclusions. He/she/it may lurk, waiting until a perceived provocation arises, and then will pounce, alleging the unfounded (and downright ridiculous). A stalker calls you on the phone to tell you that moving your blog was no way to keep it private, as you were so easy to trace. A stalker thinks he/she/it is in the right. A stalker needs desperately to get his/her/its own life, and leave you the fuck out of it.
