Well, gentle readers, I'm halfway toward my summer job. I spent a good amount of time on the phone with a resort staffer this evening, discussing the basics: money, lodging, days off, duration of stay. I'll be going up next month for an "audition" massage on one of the managers. If that goes well (and why wouldn't it?), I think I'm in.

A few particulars:

- Memorial Day through late September

- free dorm bed or tent site (dorm, please)

- 60/40 split in my favor (I had it backward before, thank goodness!)

- I bring my table and oils/lubricants; they provide linens, laundry service, massage space, and a captive clientele

- two consecutive days off, midweek

- access to tubs, sauna, and some of the most beautiful scenery on this planet or any other

There are are a few challenges, as with any adventure, but I'm determined to work them out. This is pretty exciting!

Oh, and I've lost two more pounds. Must be those daily spinach salads!
