RSS Department:
Well, the website is all up, but I think there are some features that I can't enable unless I pay Apple $99 a year for a .Mac account. I know for a fact that blog comments are not possible, but there is a cheap plug-in called iComment (third-party software) that will make that happen. I'll try the demo, and if I can enable comments, I might move my blog. But I won't do it unless the new software is easy to use and produces good results.

I still don't have my RAM or SATA installed, but the thing I need for the SATA will arrive tonight with CopMan (to whom I owe many thanks). My computer is almost at capacity, and is slower than molasses in January. Srsly, I have only 2GB of 60 free. It's like using rocks and sticks to get my data going.

SSDD (same stuff, different day) Department:
There's no denying the need for me to start looking NOW for employment. I'm daunted, but not down for the count. I'll wallow another day or two, and then get on the stick.

One of the obstacles is the lack of access to a decent printer, for resumes and cover letters. We aren't allowed to print personal things through the printer here, and I don't know where in town I would go to get things printed. I'll be in Vancouver, BC next week, and may just bring my thumb drive to a FedEx/Kinkos place for out-the-ass expensive printing. Just need a few masters, and then I'm self-serve all the way. I used to work in a print shop, and so I can do all the futzing myself.

Is it tacky to send out a hand-printed resume that showcases my design skills? I'm thinking I'd use that presentation for spa/salon applications. Applications to chiropractors and clinics would be traditionally printed.

DB Life Department:
In this department, it's all about the end of summer and the full-force gale of reality blowing square in my face. I have only a few days off between now and Sept 9th, the new official going-home date. This means after I entertain CopMan, I have to pack up most of my stuff for a car load to my house the following week. Once that goes, I'm sleeping on an aerobed and living with just the things that can be packed on my motorcycle. Adventures-R-Us! I might even camp out in "tent city" (employee tent platforms) for a few days since I haven't been able to go "real" camping all summer.

I sure miss teaching, if only for the summers off. Oh, the summers off!

Back Department:
Should've put this under SSDD. I'm fine most of the day, and once I immobilize myself in slumber, I'm a mess. The T3s help a lot, but they wear off about 3am, and then I'm tossing and turning (with some discomfort). I took one about 4:00 the other morning, and that was too late in the evening. Waking up was a bitch.

I raised my massage table yet again, and it helps. The less I lean, the better I feel. I also limited myself to 4 massages a day. It's the only reasonable course of action. It helps, too.

Pics on my Website:
If you have a pic of yourself that you wouldn't mind me posting on my "friends" page, please send it to me. I'm starting a rogue's gallery, heh.
