I awoke to profound fog. Downtown was reduced to a half block immediately outside my windows. Score. A fall morning.

The drive was so quiet, so full of cotton balls and batting. Only three cows stood in the field across from Dike Road, the field I smell from my house when the wind is from the north or west. Holsteins are the easiest to see in the fog; high contrast, you know.

The drive to work was fairly normal, though you'd think folks would back off a little when visibility is diminished. You'd think. I think a lot of things that don't resemble reality.

I'm a little foggy sometimes, too.
