We had a busy weekend with a Friday night football game, the parish fair, a horse show, back to the Angola rodeo and 4 gigs for husband. Somewhere in there I managed to get the laundry done but not put away.

The "hopefully" last of my Katrina damaged, beetle infested trees are coming down at home today. The total count on trees lost in my yard is 69. I haven't even walked the 20 acres we have behind our office, but I can see already that the pine beetles are killing the damaged pines there too.

It is exam week at the high school. Miss Teen seems amazingly calm and no more grouchy than usual. She seems to think they are not going to be that hard. Maybe she is right. She has been doing VERY well in the classes she takes at her regular high school.

I'm off to the races. Have a happy Columbus Day holiday.
