It is early evening and the house is silent.

Miss Teen went to audition for the school play. Son is at a friend's house seeing the new dog and husband is somewhere between the transportation of both kids.

My house is pristine, the maid came today. Even the laundry is done.

I am cooking a pot of smoked turkey and lentil soup and the smell is beginning to fill the house.

Even the cats are quiet. They must have food.

It is as if the house is waiting with open arms for the rest of the people to be nutured.

And there goes the garage door opening.
