Bob and I are continuing our looksee into Missouri. The cities we're currently looking at are: Columbia, Rolla, Branson, Springfield and Joplin. There are more cities in the Columbia, Rolla, Branson triangle but I forget them all.

Started looking at homeschooling resources today. Missouri has a lot fewer than Oklahoma. I've joined a few lists to get a better feel. We'll see what comes out of it. I'm already noticing a lack of cohesiveness in the MO groups that so many of the OK groups have. Of course this is all speculative as I haven't met anyone F2F. But I have emailed directly with a few in OK and the seemed very open and friendly.

Bob started looking into the job market and has already found more in one day than he's found in months of searching in OK.

Bob also looked into the really important stuff... what's the SCA group in the areas. LOL! Seems there is a Shire in or around Springfield called Oakheart. They also have a newsletter called The Oakleaf! What is it with us and Oak? They have a website at http://www.oakheart.net/ and are part of the Kingdom of Calontir. I can't get to the website from work so I'll have to look from home. (dratted firewall)

So we've found ups and downs as usual. I can't help but wonder how the $#%!@ we're gonna organize thie exodus. But it's premature to really plan anything at this point.

Oh! One of the houses for sale on our block just went into escrow for the asking price ($631,000). Hopefully the appraiser will agree with that amount. It will make our asking price of $635 easier to justify.

Now if we can just get the contractor to come and finish the pond/fountain that he said he would finish last weekend. *grumbles* He's glad Bob is dealing with him. : \
