I was just talking to a co-worker about some of the sad things that happen to children because their parents are morons or otherwise incapable of being... well... parents. This is kinda related to Bob's entry.

It hit me, during this conversation, that the next time someone comments about how (over) protective I am of my kids... I'm going to take it as a compliment and thank them properly. Better to be an over-protective parent than a incompetent one!
