Sunday we went to the French Festival. Bob had (a case of helium hand) volunteered to do a boffer demo so we were pretty much committed to going. Elyramere and crew came as well which was nice because most folks had backed out of going and we were wondering if we'd be the only Darach-ians there. Thankfully that was not the case. : )

Jessie was a pill that day of course... trying to pull everything off the tables, picking up unrecognisable things from the ground and in general got completely filthy. Sam was only a little better. *groans* But at least there were a few kids for him to play with.

It looked like there wouldn't be any boffer demos (due to lack of crowd interest UNTIL we were ready to leave. Then everyone wanted to suit up and give it a try. At that point even Jessie wanted to leave(kept saying "bye-bye") but Bob, being the wonderful person he is, accomodated each wide-eyed youth that looked longingly at the pile of "weapons." I love that about him. *big grin*

I didn't mind handling the kids so that Bob could do this but was glad when it was time to get in the car and go. The trip home took over 2 hours! *Ugh!* Jessie pretty much passed out as soon as we turned the first corner and Sam konked out after a bit too. I joked with Bob that we finally got some quiet time alone together. LOL! Stopped at Starbucks in Ventura to get recharged and finally made it home for chinese food.

Whew! Quite a day it was. Did a bit more sewing on Bob's pirate frock before turning in. Those cuffs are a big PITA! Nuff said here. If'n ya want the gory details, you'll have to go there.
