me in the piazza

I'm a writer, publishing both as SJ Rozan and, with Carlos Dews, as Sam Cabot. (I'm Sam, he's Cabot.) Here you can find links to my almost-daily blog posts, including the Saturday haiku I've been doing for years. BUT the blog itself has moved to my website. If you go on over there you can subscribe and you'll never miss a post. (Miss a post! A scary thought!) Also, I'll be teaching a writing workshop in Italy this summer -- come join us!

That Weiner

Well, I have to say something, because he's from around here, and I would've voted for him for Mayor, once. So here's my take:

One: I don't care that he likes to send pictures of his package to women he doesn't know. I do care that he lied about it. Because I believed him, and now I feel like a fool. Most politicians disappoint in the end, but chances are I'm not going to vote for a guy who already made me feel like Charlie Brown with the football.

Two: I also care about the massive ego that made him think the problem was his mistake in sending the photo to his Twitter account instead of privately. Anthony, you twit, once you send it ANYWHERE by e, it's going to end up everywhere eventually. If you don't hit the wrong button, one of your, uh, pen-pals will.

Three: why oh why oh why do some guys think photos of their junk are a turn-on? As Sandra Parshall said, if you want a woman to think you're sexy, send her pictures of you playing with your dog!
