I got back my essay on Descartes, Leibniz and substance, which I finished writing at 6:00 in the morning. I got an A-. Honestly, it was the worst thing I've ever written. But I suppose that compared to the rest of the morons in the class it may have actually sounded somewhat intelligent.

My TA writes: "I hope this tour of Descartes, skillful as it is, leads to substance and Leibniz soon."

Holy sarcasm, Batman.

(That was page 4. I didn't get to Leibniz until page 9. Ha!)
