And I called in to work to see what was happening with the roof repairs. The librarian said they weren't starting till Friday, and they don't anticipate having to close the library at all. This is contrary to what they were saying last Friday. Doesn't matter as long as they get the roof fixed. One side of the library is lined with a mish-mosh of archival boxes, removed from the section where the roof was leaking.

This afternoon I went out to WalMart and bought a replacement clock. Then I had the problem of putting it up. The screw that the dead one hung on was too large for this one. I finally found one that would work, and the new clock is sitting there ticking AND advancing the hands. (The old one did only the first operation.)

This morning I managed to get a flea collar on Fabian. I used extra Frontline on him, but it didn't discourage his little friends quite enough. Hence the collar.

I think the raccoon came for a snack last night--I heard a little bit of noise and this morning most of the dry food had disappeared. I had left the lid off, figuring he was big enough to climb in and out of the trash can.

Back to work tomorrow, and my goal will be to get Paulette's mayoral campaign material pretty much all in one place. My goal for the week is to get all her stuff organized. The political material will be roughly chronological, and the various community action activities (such as teen pregnancy prevention) will be arranged by topic.

Fabian just pushed his way into the room and is now on the CPU demanding head scritching. He is quite insistent.
