This morning the woman came by for the life jacikets, but was a bit apprehensive about wading through the path to the storage building. She went back and got her husband and he brought out the whole batch of life jackets. And (thank goodness) they all looked fresh and clean. They were happy to have them for themselves as well as for others who might need them. I told them about my need for lawn workers and they will keep that in mind. My first thought was that if they had a teen group they could earn a bit of money, but he said their church is so small they don't have one of those yet.

Once they left I mad a dash for the shower. While waiting for them I'd pulled up a bunch of lawn weeds and I really needed to wash the sweat off.

I had just finished the shower and gotten dressed when Honorary Son (HS) arrived. We chatted a bit then went out for lunch. After that he wanted to see PJ's, since I was always talking about it in my blog.

It was a really nice afternoon--and it was extended by a heavy thunderstorm which definitely precluded his departure. So we talked. About just about everything.

During the storm, of course, the giant male cat hid in the cupboard under the bathroom sink. He's definitely a wussy cat.

Lady, on the other hand, let herself be petted by all of today's visitors.

And now to start on Tess Gerritson's Harvest.
