I spent a bunch of time doing that today. I got to the doctor's office a bit early. He recently left a group practice, so I figured (correctly) there would be at least a dozen new forms to be filled out. I wasn't far off.

But things were moving really slowly. I don't count the time in the waiting room wasted because I got chatting with my "neighbor" and learned about a group of 10 yr.old boys who are trying to earn money to go to the Little League World Series in Florida--or something like that. My yard immediately came to mind. She lives about a mile from me. I gave her my number and address.

And then back in the examining room I got a good start on a new book (geek, of course). When the doctor came in I complimented him on his new digs, then commented on the lack of a nearby curb break to make it easier to get to his office. (This is an orthopedist.) He had noted that the contractor had done the absolute minimum. I suggested some planters to use as a handhold. (I used the hood of a car today.)

When I FINALLY finished there I grabbed a bite at Arby's, and then headed for the usual place to continue renting AC.

And I got a bunch of reading done.

I had planned to get my talons trimmed, but by the time I was done at the doctor's it was too late. I think I'll get that done tomorrow and work on Friday instead.

And the weather continues the usual summer hot. There was some rain in New Orleanas today, but not on this side of the lake (Lake Pontchartrain.)

(Definitely an IUD.)
