That's what today consisted of, for the most part. I did, however, get caught up on the checking account records. Along the way, however, I spotted a $20 "service charge" that had no explanation. My balance is sufficient that there should be no monthly charges.

Tomorrow I need to make a deposit so I'll go inside and talk to the woman who has handled several things for me and see what she can tell me.

Does it bother anybody else that the banks have been really screwing their customers--while the people on top have been raking it in?

Fifty years ago savings account interest was about 2% per annum. And about twenty years ago it was higher.

Now there is almost no interest paid on the money with which the guys at the top make THEIR investments and loans--and gather in a bunch of almost usurious interest.

Enough ranting.

I felt like having a salad for supper and debated between Wendy's and Arby's. Arby's won--in part because Wendy's has done away with its "senior discount." Not even a discounted drink any more.

No gardening today--I was busy with financial catch-up. And a bit of a "sinking spell." (nap)

Tomorrow should be relatively relaxing. The bank, of course, but I think I'll treat my car to a car wash. It's been a while.

And tomorrow FOR SURE I'll get those bedding plants in the ground. (With my luck, the critters will probably think it's fresh salad for them.)
