. . . at what I planned to do today. Let's just say the bedding plants are still in their "cribs" in the garage sink.

And last night I wanted some mind candy, so I started U is for Undertow, by Sue Grafton.

I headed for PJ's about lunch time and sat there reading for most of the afternoon.

I plan to go in to work tomorrow, and I'll return to Eight for Eternity at lunch. It's in my work bag.

Oh yeah--and I stopped at the bank and got my questions answered.

Tomorrow will be a work day, and I have high hopes of finishing the inventory of the last of the cartons. I'll bring the drafts home and type them up here, on a computer with which I am familiar. (And nobody is waiting to use.)

Today is Monday, and I remembered to put the trash up front. I rather like the wheeled containers. I had one that was extra large, but it was awkward to pull. My new ones are "regular" size and easy to maneuver.

The local elections are (almost) over, thank goodness. The Slidell Police Chief--who was term-limited out of his job--won the Mayor's race. The Mayor--who was also term-limited--did NOT win Police Chief, even though he had held that post before he became Mayor. In another town (which had had some "problems" with the cops sliding over the mayor, who was prone to drive while he was under the influence to a greater or lesser degree) the post of mayor was won by just four votes. Of course there will be a recount, but it WAS a very close race.

(Other than Carnival and the Saints, elections rank high on the entertainment list around here.)

Back to Sue Grafton.
