Maybe I'm beginning to catch up on continuous sleep. Last night I think I had about 7 consecutive hours. And (so far) today I haven't yielded to the urge to lie back and catch forty winks (more or less.)

I did get some more tidying up done however.

In the late afternoon I remembered that I had a prescription waiting for me at Walgreen's, so I added that to a short drive to locate the restaurant where I'll be having lunch tomorrow.

I have not been on that particular stretch of 190w for a long time--I usually take the interstate when I'm headed for the western part of the parish.

The amount of building that has taken place is mind-boggling. Several new subdivisions, plus businesses such as lumber yards etc. One of these days maybe I'll take the "old way" to the Mandeville/Covington area.

The attempt to contain the oil coming from the blown-out well was not successful. (This was the lowering of a containment box of some sort.) Plan B has not yet been suggested.

At the moment, the winds and weather are not adding significantly to the problem. At the moment.

The wild cherry trees are dropping their blossoms now, and the faintly perfumed air is back to "normal."

And that's about it for an Incredibly Unremarkable Day.
