Today was an absolutely gorgeous day weatherwise!!

Cool, but not sweater cool.

Dry, but not arid.

Should be good sleeping tonight, probably with feline cuddlebugs.

I finally got around to taking a couple of weeks' worth of newspapers out to the pool and dumping them. I saw only one turtle, who dived down when he(?) spotted me.

And then I just sat and relaxed on the patio, with two equally energetic cats within petting reach, and basked in the spring weather.

The mail had a new book for me--The Spirit Thief, by Rachel Aaron. I have no idea why I ordered it--she might be one of the Magic District website contributors. I'll probably start it this evening.

Last night was distinctly cool--the bathrobe on and an afghan over me. I haven't lighted the furnace, although a few more days like this and I'll probably want it on first thing in the morning.

The East Coast is getting hammered by tropical disturbances of varying strengths. I guess the oil spill was our disaster for the summer.

And on the local front, the Saints have a noon (home) game on Sunday against the Carolina Panthers. The Saints brought back kicker John Carney after the missed field goal last week. Carney has been around for ages, and is close to being elegible for AARP. I plan on wearing my new bright yellow shirt over the "Woman's Place . . ." t-shirt and black slacks.

Wow--the darkness is arrivng earlier and earlier--it's 6:30 PM and getting gray already.
