Pumpkins were on sale at WalMart for 50 cents each. I bought a nice size one, and when I got home I cut it up into big chunks, then scattered those over the lawn.

Tomorrow morning there will probably be nothing left of them.

Of course, next year there may be pumpkins growing in the woods . . .

Department of frustration: I've been looking for some papers for a couple of days now. They are not where I thought they might be. I'm hoping that the night-time find-it fairies will pull them out of hiding.

My neighbor came by this afternoon. One of her porch cats hasn't been around for a day or so. We always cross fingers when "outside" cats disappear. We look, but hope we don't find them, because finding them usually means they have gone to the catnip fields. This cat is/was seven or eight years old.

Other than that, it was a very enjoyable visit, and Spots got lots of petting and a couple of cat treats from her. CC stays inside the majority of the time--she was an inside cat for a long time, but started venturing out when her shelter sister (Lady) lured her out there. Lady was not shelter-born so she knew about Outside. Trouble is--one day she went off and that was that. That, of course, is why my neighbor is worrying about Emma.

Tomorrow I shall probably continue my search for the missing papers, and then go in to work on Friday. I really want to get back to two days a week, if I ever get the little junk around the house taken care of.

While at WalMart I also bought one of their ready-made salads, and it is waiting for me.
