My interest in this year's Super Bowl is waaaay less than last year. I'm not even sure which team I'd sort of like to win. In these circumstances, books come in very handy--I can read and check out what's happening when I hear a crowd roar. If it was a big-time play, it will be rerun.

Today was a dull day, with the possibility of rain in the background. It may yet rain tonight. Tomorrow's forecast is scattered showers.

My aching hip supports that forecast.

When the weather forecast is iffy, I generally get up at the usual time and check the weather radar. Of course, if the skies are leaking I can figure the forecast out myself.

Time to get back to the football ggame. Even if I'm not vitally interested in who wins, the commentators generally pass along a lot of little football tidbits, such as precisely what it takes for such and such an action to be ruled a foul.

This evening as I was getting ready to toss out some raccoon biscuits, I opened the door and there was a nervous little possum waiting expectantly. H/she didn't run away, but stayed a safe (in its opinion) distance from the door, but close enough to get to the goodies quickly, as soon as I'd closed the door. (The door has a window that I often watch from.)

Back to the foot ball game. And if it gets really boring, there's always the usual scheduled drivel to bring a human voice into the house.
