Today began with a major visit to WalMart--meaning food for people as well as critters.

Fine.

And then a short (very) trip to the Sam's gas pumps next door.

Still fine, although I find it hard to believe being able to remember when gas went up to about 25 cents a gallon.

Fine again. There was someone else waiting to get gas, so I drove off with the two cards used for paying for the gas on the empty seat next to me.

When I got back home I cleared the other stuff off the seat, and made a mental note to put the cards in my wallet.

But first I had to get the groceries inside, and the appropriate ones into the fridge.

Then I decided that a BK salad would be quite tasty--as well as their ice cream pie.

Somehow I forgot about the cards until I got home.

They weren't there any more.

I looked all over, but no luck.

I checked the bank account to see if there was any unusual activity, and there wasn't.

I was on my way to the bank to see if I could put a temporary hold on the credit card, but then talked myself out of that. I'd cross fingers and watch the account on line.

So I turned around and came back home. I was getting the last of the AM purchases out of the car when I waggled the umbrella and cane stuck on the floor by the passenger door.

And there were the cards.

HUGE sign of relief.

Other than that, it was a very blah day.

And the weather forecast for tomorrow says not as hot.

I hope it's right, and stays under 90 like it did today.
