I finally cleared the trivial stuff out of the way and headed back into New Orleans bright and early this morning.

And, once inside the building I got plenty done. I even brought some stuff home because it's a LOT easier to use my PC than try to use the Apple products Tulane has.

The cats were very glad to see me--it's been about a month since I last left them home all day.

Obviously, if I went in to work I didn't donate platelets. (I'm looking at my calendar to-do notes.) I probably won't be able to tomorrow, since my dentist appointment is about 11 AM. A platelet donation for me takes well over an hour, so I couldn't do it before (and be sure of making the appointment), and after I finish with the dentist it will be time for lunch.

Later in the week for that.

I get to my building (at Newcomb/Tulane) generally somewhere between seven and eight.

So there I was standing by the door, getting out the proper key, and a (male) worker saw me and brightened up. He could barely wait till I got it unlocked, and went straight for the men's room. The employees who work outside here and there have obviously memorized the buildings with quick access to a rest room. Under "normal" circumstances the building doesn't get unlocked till almost 9 AM.

It was a relatively productive day for me, even though I left a bit earlier than I usually do so I could do a couple of errands after I got home.

And in my e-mail today was a note supposedly from my bank saying they had had complaints about the security etc. etc. and needed me to confirm my identity, and if I didn't they would suspend my account.

And the moon is made of green cheese.

I plan to be there first thing in the AM to see if this is actually true, or if it's a scam. What's your bet?

I'm sure glad my bank is relatively close to where I live--and that they are well-staffed.

I think I'll have time to visit the bank before the dentist.

Never a dull moment.
